Went for my first run since the 20km race in Paris last week. Did a very easy 3 miles. Explored a new route around my neighbourhood, instead of heading down to the Englischer Garten the way I normally do. It was nice. I found some lovely bike/pedestrian paths that I hope will be cleared in the winter so that we'll have paths to run on.
It was a beautiful fall day, sunny, 18°C, and just a light breeze. Beautiful autumn running weather.
I wore my heart rate monitor, but just so I could take a look at the numbers. I'm well rested after a week off, so not worried about keeping my heart rate in a certain zone.
The legs felt rather heavy, but that's to be expected after a week off. It felt good to get out there and run again.
