Sunday is traditionally long run day, and today was no different. Hubby and I headed out around 11 am. It had been raining earlier in the day, but by the time we started running, it had stopped. We were lucky and it didn't rain at us at all during our run. The weather was perfect for a run, with temperatures between 15 and 20°C, very light winds, and mostly overcast conditions. The sun did peak out a couple of times during our run, but never long enough for it to get hot. It was on the humid side, due to the rain, but it didn't bother us.
We explored some new paths through the Englischer Garten today, but stuck to the Nordteil (North part of the Garten), and then ran along the Isar for a bit. Ran the first 8 miles at less than 70% HRR, and the last 4 miles at 70-75% HRR.
I now feel ready for the 20K race in Paris in two weeks time! Hubby will be coming to Paris with me, but he won't be running the race. He'll be my cheerleader and support squad.
