Friday's Feast

Friday's FeastFeast One Hundred & Twenty One

Appetizer
Which language would you like to learn and why?
  • There's no language in particular that I would like to learn (I currently speak English, French and German), but I would like to improve my German. It's sad, but since we moved to Germany this summer, my German has actually declined, since I'm no longer studying German 7 hours a day, 5 days a week! Most of the German I use in everyday life is limited to rather narrow topics (shopping, horseback riding, etc.) so I'm actually using less German than I was back in Canada when my husband and I were on full time language training.
Soup
What's the funniest thing you've heard or read so far this week?
Salad
Which movie was so bad you couldn't watch the whole thing?
  • Moulin Rouge. My husband and I rented it, and we just couldn't get through it. I know many people really enjoyed this movie, and I normally enjoy musicals, but not this one!
Main Course
If there were a holiday in your honor that didn't use your actual name, what would the day be called?
  • Workout Wednesday. Everyone would be given time off of work or school to exercise on Workout Wednesday!
Dessert
Name one movie which is coming out soon that you would like to see.
  • Spiderman 3. Okay, so it's not coming out until May 2007, but I am looking forward to it. The first two Spiderman movies were great, and I have high hopes for the third movie in the installment.

I love your concept of having Wednesdays off to exercise! I'd use those days for long runs or hikes! :-)

I would enjoy the Wednesday off but not for exercise!!!! Maybe when I have my other knee replacement I will be able to do some exercise.
Thanks for stopping by my feast.
Have a great weekend.

Great feast Caylynn. As always.

I like the Spiderman movies also. Not only good storylines but good eyecandy too. LOL

(And your Thursday Thirteen header, is that a dog or one of the hairless cats?) ---Never the less, it's adorable!!!!

I really loved the first two spiderman movies as well. hopefully Spiderman three is as good or better than they are. I can't wait to see what Joss Wedon is going to do with Wonder Woman as well. SO far they are only in the writing and rewriting stage of that film though

I actually suspected that you were speaking french (Sherlock Holmes daughter) and I cannot even say why!It probably came out of what you were writing maybe. That your german gets worse I can understand. The American women here in Waterloo are trying hard to get in contact with french speaking Belgians, but usually they speak English too and want to improve their English lol ! But be careful with this awful German they speak in Bavaria. I don't understand a word and bavarian movies have sometimes to be subtitled as the rest of Germany can't understand this accent.

I'd join you then on National Workout Wednesday. I badly need some workout! LOL I love Spiderman 1 & 2 too!

I would love to be fluent in three languages! I'm fairly proficient in French, but, as you said, when you don't use it frequently, you start to "lose" it. Have a fabulous weekend!

Workout Wednesday - I like that idea. I'm also looking forward to Spiderman 3. My son is excited to watch it too.

I like your feast, but especially like your main course. Workout Wednesday would be wonderful especially if it came with in home daycare (I'm tired of trying to work out around children:D). Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a great weekend!

I didn't care much for Moulin Rouge either. Really the only reason I watched it was because I had the flu at the time and couldn't care less what was on tv. :-P

Have a great weekend! :-)
