Hump Day Hunt - Week Fifty-Two
Wow! It's hump day hunt #52! One whole year of pherretting!
In honor of this fact, our word for this week is:
Celebrate
Here, my husband and I celebrate the successful completion of my first half-marathon (his second) in October 2004 at the Ottawa Fall Colours Races. That's 13.1 mile or 21.1 km. At the time, it was the farthest I had ever run (my long training runs went up to 11 miles). Since then I've run two more half-marathons, one 20km race and one full marathon (26.2 miles or 41.1 km)! We plan to run another full and another half in the spring (München Frühjahrslauf for the half and the Vienna Marathon for the full.)

That's a pretty picture of both of you !
Our suitcases are packed (Pookie sits in one) and tomorrow morning at 7 am, off we go ! I am happy to escape this cold and awful weather in Belgium ! Thank you for hosting the Tuesday cats !
Merry Christmas and happy New Year !
I'm tired just thinking of all that running.
Wow- that is certainly something to celebrate. You should be very proud of your accomplishment. :-)
Congrats on being fit and having fun too.
That's a lovely picture. How nice that you and your husband share the same passion. It must feel absolutely wonderful to be healthy and fit. Keep it up!
