Cats on Tuesday

Cats on TuesdayGattina is hosting a new meme for those of us who are owned by cats, called Cats on Tuesday. Visit her blog and join in the fun.

Sometimes the simplest toys are the best. Although Dragonheart loves his store-bought toys, especially his wand toys and anything that has feathers, he also enjoys playing with some common household items. One of his favourite toys is the clear plastic top off a bottle of Powerade/Gatorade. I guess in some ways cats can be like children! Often the box that a toy came in can be more fun to play with than the toy itself!

Gatorade Bottle Top
It's amazing how much fun he has batting these bottle tops around! He really enjoys playing "hockey" with these bottle tops, as you can see in the video below. These tops frequently get lost under the couch or the treadmill. Fortunately, it is easy to reclaim them from underneath the furniture, plus, there is always a new supply of them, as my husband and I are training for a marathon, and therefore consuming a great deal of Gatorade/Powerade.

That is so true ! Lisa, Pookie and Arthur never touch cat toys, they are all lying in the cat house and Kim is afraid of toys, she has never played in her life not even when she was a kitten. Pookie loves little foil balls. When she hears foil noise, then she arrives almost breathless ! Arthur mostly likes his sisters tails and each time he sees a tail walking by he has to stretch out his paw and give a little slap. Otherwise he like dry leaves. Lisa now in her age is a little sniffy about playing. I like little DH's bottom shaking in the video, lol !

Hee! That is a great toy. I could totally picture my human kids loving those clear lids as well.

LOL.

My Blessing loves the ring sealer from the milk bottle caps and plays hockey with them. We don't have hardwood floors, so he has to throw it around a lot in order to paly.

Tucker uses them as chew toys!

Great video! Thanks! D :)

Willow's favorite toy is a pipe cleaner. Rhett likes a squishy ball and socks. They all like anything with catnip.... and birds, they love to watch birds. Actually, they would love to do more than watch, but that is all they are allowed.

Dragonheart is just gorgeous, and what a playful kitty. My Bambi just loves his toy mousies ... they have rice or something inside, and rattle, and I think are made with rabbit skin, or something !! Otherwise, she loves my daughter's hair-ties !! She bats them and throws them all around the house, going totally psycho with them.
Cats are wonderful creatures, so much fun, and so cute.
Take care, Meow

Isn't it amazing that our cats all love different toys...just goes to show they have strong, distinctive individualities! We've bought all kinds of cat toys for our Anela through the years, and she always turns her nose up at them. She has never played with anything except a mouse.Happy COT!
