"Foto Fartlek"

Happy Hallowe'enHappy Hallowe'en!

Today I ran what I'm calling a "Foto Fartlek". Fartlek is Swedish for "speed play" and is basically a run that consists of intervals of varying distances and speeds, basically running faster when you want to, and slower when you want to.

I ran with my camera today, hence the "foto fartlek". I would run for a bit, my heart rate would get up to about 80% HRR, and then I'd stop, take a few photos, and start running again. Did that for a total of 4.5 miles. Managed to get some lovely photos of autumn in Munich, along our major running route.
The run itself was okay. I'm still clearly recovering from being off of running for three of the last four weeks, as my legs felt fine, but my breathing was really laboured. It will come back, though, it will just take some time.

You can view all of the photos that I took on my run today here:

It still looks a bit warm there.

Oh, my goodness. I am SOOOOO out of shape, but used to be on my high school and college track teams. I remember what fartleks are!

Your photos are amazing. Absolutely gorgeous. ;)

Happy Halloween to you too !

The rest is on my cat blog. As we don't celebrate Halloween the way they do it in the States, I decorated my blogs instead !

In Germany it's probably the same as here.

I really like this, it's showing Munich in a whole different way.
Good luck with the running, and I hope you had a nice halloween!

Happy Halloween! We had a nice celebration here. My son enjoyed trick-or-treating. He was a blue Power Ranger this year. Check out my Halloween photos when you find some time.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. Wow, a good run combined with good photo opportunities... what else could you ask for. :D

Take care,
Rach
