Hump Day Hunt - Week Forty-Two:

In fourteen hundred and ninety-two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue

And he discovered this week's word:
America

Being Canadian, to me "America" means "North America" of which Canada is part.

The following two pictures described North America to me. The first picture is my hubby, in his uniform on Remembrance Day (November 11th). It reminds me of all the men and women who have given their lives so that we can enjoy our freedom.

The second picture is the HBC Run For Canada 10K from July 1, 2006. Hubby and I participated in this run, and it reminds me of the pride we have in our country, and one of the many ways we celebrate it.K in his uniformHBC Run for Canada 2006

lol, you're right it does go well with my Canada Flag Cake. A few readers have pointed me to some American flag cake pics too so I'm gonna add it to my post!

Your hubby looks like a proud Canadian (and North American!).

As a Canadian, I struggled with this one. You did well.

Mine's up too.
