Long Run Yesterday

Heart rate graph for 27/11/06 run
Map for 27/11/06 runHad a good long run today. Ran 10 miles through the Englischer Garten, and then ran/walked another 2.5 miles home. Kept my heart rate under 70% of Heart Rate Reserve for the first 6 miles or so, then let it rise a bit, keeping it under 75% for the remaining miles.

The weather was perfect for a long run. It was sunny out, with temperatures between 10 and 15°C. I was wearing shorts and a short-sleeved shirt to run in. I'm sure most of the Germans out running thought I was crazy, since they were wearing tights and long-sleeved shirts or jackets! I would have been much too warm had I been dressed like them however!

Elevation Chart for 27/11/06 runHubby stayed home with the new kitten while I was out running. He tweaked his knee a little bit last weekend, playing basketball, and so he was resting it. Which worked out well, since we didn't want to leave Dragonheart alone yet.

Once my run was finished I refueled with a nice warm mug of hot chocolate, and a bowl of cereal. After showering, I curled up with Dragonheart.
