So yesterday, the calf was feeling pretty good, so I decided to try it out with a short run. I'm pleased to report the run was I success -I ran 5K with no calf pain or tightness!

It was very, very slow, and I had to walk a lot to keep my heart rate in the right zone, but I ran!

So, this are looking encouraging for Paris.

I don't think I'll be racing it, which is too bad, since my training had been going really well until this calf thing, but hey, stuff happens. ::shrug:: There will be other races. At least I should be able to run.

Resting was hard, but it seems to have worked!

(Details on my calf injury can be found
here.)
In other news, we picked up our new car yesterday.

It's a Smart four door. More details on the car can be found
here.

I'm very glad to hear that your calf has healed and you are now able to run again. I hope that your plans to run in Paris will push through.
Congrats on your new car.
Yay for the run! As someone who battled running with a calf injury, its best to keep the racing for later.
Be thankful of your progress - if you continue like this, you will back to normal in no time! :)
