Success!

So yesterday, the calf was feeling pretty good, so I decided to try it out with a short run. I'm pleased to report the run was I success -I ran 5K with no calf pain or tightness!:grin::grin:

It was very, very slow, and I had to walk a lot to keep my heart rate in the right zone, but I ran!:grin::grin:

So, this are looking encouraging for Paris. :-) I don't think I'll be racing it, which is too bad, since my training had been going really well until this calf thing, but hey, stuff happens. ::shrug:: There will be other races. At least I should be able to run. :-)

Resting was hard, but it seems to have worked! :-)

(Details on my calf injury can be found here.)

In other news, we picked up our new car yesterday. It's a Smart four door. More details on the car can be found here.

I'm very glad to hear that your calf has healed and you are now able to run again. I hope that your plans to run in Paris will push through.

Congrats on your new car.

Yay for the run! As someone who battled running with a calf injury, its best to keep the racing for later.

Be thankful of your progress - if you continue like this, you will back to normal in no time! :)
