#9 - Thirteen Things Caylynn's Hubby Brought Back for her from Canada

So last week I talked about the things I missed about my hubby while he was in Canada at National Defence Headquarters for briefings and meetings. This week I'm listing 13 things he brought back for me. These are things that we either can't find here in Germany, or things that are much more expensive here. Plus a couple of surprises.

  1. New Balance 881New Balance 881 Running Shoes in 2E width. I have a very short, but very wide foot (women's size 7.5, men's size 6, but 2E, which is extra-wide, width). I haven't been able to find any shoes in Munich, or even in Germany, that come in 2E width. So hubby brought back a bunch of extra-wide New Balance Running Shoes for me.

  2. New Balance 872New Balance 872 Trail Running Shoes in 2E width.

  3. New Balance 907New Balance 907 Trail Running Shoes in 2E width.

  4. Lemon Zest Luna BarsTwo Boxes of Lemon Zest Luna Bars.

  5. Camelbak CharmCamelbak Charm Hydration Pack - great for carrying water while running, very comfortable, and designed for a women's frame.

  6. Jelly Belly Sport BeansJelly Belly Sport Beans - These contain carbohydrates and electrolytes, and are used to provide energy and electrolytes during long runs (over 2 hours).

  7. Clif Shot BlocksClif Shot Blocks - also used for energy and electrolytes during long runs.

  8. Several comics that we haven't been able to find in Germany, including Rex Mundi, Artesia, Knights of the Dinner Table, Queen and Country, and a few comic books to fill in some gaps in our collection.

  9. Campbell's Chicken Noodle SoupCampbell's Chicken Noodle Soup - I have not been able to find a good chicken noodle soup here in Germany, and when I'm ill, this is what I want to eat. So hubby brought back a couple of cans.

  10. Caesar IVCaesar IV - Citybuilding computer game, and a couple of add-ons for some of my other games, including Civilization IV: Warlords, and Dungeon Siege II: Broken World.

  11. Support Our TroopsSupport Our Troops - Women's Red Golf Shirt, with proceeds from all the "Support Our Troops" items being reinvested directly into morale and welfare programs for Canadian Forces members and their families.

  12. MEC Dash ShortsMEC Dash Shorts - super comfortable running shorts, as well as some other items from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op).

  13. RingAnd finally, my big surprise! A beautiful diamond ring. It wasn't our anniversary, my birthday, or any other special occasion. My hubby just wanted to surprise me with a lovely gift. I'm an incredible lucky woman.

You are spoiled my dear ! And he counted exactly 13 gifts. That's nice, lol ! You should find Campell soup in München, it even exists in Aachen where I go shopping just before Christmas as it is so close to Brussels.

Wow! That was a lot of things! And so very useful ones! Thoughtful too.

I'm not into running, but since I have a bad back, I really know the value of a good shoe!

And awwww.....to the ring. I bet he really missed you.

Thanks for visiting my TT. My hubby's best friend was born and raised in Munich; he treated us to the mini-vacation.

Um ... I take it you're a runner? *grin* Seriously, are shoes cheap over there? Can I give your hubby some money so he can buy me some of those snazzy sneakers? lol

Wow! You are so lucky! New Balance has good shoes, and that camel back is great. My daughter uses hers for when she has drill with her reserve unit, and they do PT. she loves it! Nice surprise gift!

Wow! Lucky you with the ring. That's very sweet. :) I just tried Luna bars for the first time, recently, and I'm completely addicted now. They're fantastic for breakfast since they actually have some protein.

What a sweetheart.

I wear a 2A, and that's virtually impossible to find, but New Balance does carry them. However, I don't run, but I do walk.

My TT this week is on women and finances.

Trish Ess said...

Awww.. that's sweet! But I'm sure your husband is just as lucky a man as you are a woman or he wouldn't be that sweet to you. :D

Thanks for visiting my TT!
