#9 - Thirteen Things Caylynn's Hubby Brought Back for her from Canada
So last week I talked about the things I missed about my hubby while he was in Canada at National Defence Headquarters for briefings and meetings. This week I'm listing 13 things he brought back for me. These are things that we either can't find here in Germany, or things that are much more expensive here. Plus a couple of surprises.
So last week I talked about the things I missed about my hubby while he was in Canada at National Defence Headquarters for briefings and meetings. This week I'm listing 13 things he brought back for me. These are things that we either can't find here in Germany, or things that are much more expensive here. Plus a couple of surprises.
- New Balance 881 Running Shoes in 2E width. I have a very short, but very wide foot (women's size 7.5, men's size 6, but 2E, which is extra-wide, width). I haven't been able to find any shoes in Munich, or even in Germany, that come in 2E width. So hubby brought back a bunch of extra-wide New Balance Running Shoes for me.
- New Balance 872 Trail Running Shoes in 2E width.
- New Balance 907 Trail Running Shoes in 2E width.
- Two Boxes of Lemon Zest Luna Bars.
- Camelbak Charm Hydration Pack - great for carrying water while running, very comfortable, and designed for a women's frame.
- Jelly Belly Sport Beans - These contain carbohydrates and electrolytes, and are used to provide energy and electrolytes during long runs (over 2 hours).
- Clif Shot Blocks - also used for energy and electrolytes during long runs.
- Several comics that we haven't been able to find in Germany, including Rex Mundi, Artesia, Knights of the Dinner Table, Queen and Country, and a few comic books to fill in some gaps in our collection.
- Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup - I have not been able to find a good chicken noodle soup here in Germany, and when I'm ill, this is what I want to eat. So hubby brought back a couple of cans.
- Caesar IV - Citybuilding computer game, and a couple of add-ons for some of my other games, including Civilization IV: Warlords, and Dungeon Siege II: Broken World.
- Support Our Troops - Women's Red Golf Shirt, with proceeds from all the "Support Our Troops" items being reinvested directly into morale and welfare programs for Canadian Forces members and their families.
- MEC Dash Shorts - super comfortable running shorts, as well as some other items from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op).
- And finally, my big surprise! A beautiful diamond ring. It wasn't our anniversary, my birthday, or any other special occasion. My hubby just wanted to surprise me with a lovely gift. I'm an incredible lucky woman.

You are spoiled my dear ! And he counted exactly 13 gifts. That's nice, lol ! You should find Campell soup in München, it even exists in Aachen where I go shopping just before Christmas as it is so close to Brussels.

Wow! That was a lot of things! And so very useful ones! Thoughtful too.
I'm not into running, but since I have a bad back, I really know the value of a good shoe!
And awwww.....to the ring. I bet he really missed you.
That ring is soooo beautiful!
(but I bet the biggest gift for you is when he's coming home, right? ;) )
Happy TT!
Wow, that was an early Christmas! ;-) Everyone deserves to get spoiled from time to time!
Thanks for visiting my TT. My hubby's best friend was born and raised in Munich; he treated us to the mini-vacation.
Oooh, what a nice surprise! My daughter will be here for Christmas, and I've got a list of things for her to bring back, too.

Um ... I take it you're a runner? *grin* Seriously, are shoes cheap over there? Can I give your hubby some money so he can buy me some of those snazzy sneakers? lol

Wow! You are so lucky! New Balance has good shoes, and that camel back is great. My daughter uses hers for when she has drill with her reserve unit, and they do PT. she loves it! Nice surprise gift!
I'm up too.
oh, what a sweet husband. #13 rocks!! I was going to say, what-no chocolate???? but #13 makes up for that lapse in spades.

Jenny

Sorry about the double listing of my name on the Linky widget...not sure how that happened!
Anyway, great list! Thanks for stopping by mine. :)
lucky gal!
Wow! Lucky you with the ring. That's very sweet. :) I just tried Luna bars for the first time, recently, and I'm completely addicted now. They're fantastic for breakfast since they actually have some protein.
What a nice man!
Ooh, how sweet! I like the ring! Lucky girl is right. :)
Wow, a diamond ring!!!
New Balance shoes are great, aren't they?
I *love* my Camelbak! Of course, mine isn't nearly as cute as yours. You have one heck of a husband!! :)
Awwwwe, #13!!!!
Ahhh. Treats from home, and a ring to boot! He's making us other guys look bad though.
Your hubby must really love you! It must be hard when he's gone, but obviously he misses you too! Happy Thursday!
Not a bad haul! Happy TT!
So incredibly sweet! Your husband is a keeper. (I live in Vancouver BC for a few years after my husbanda and I got married. He's Canadian).
You will LOVE the Camelbak Charm. I've had mine for almost 2 years and that baby just rocks.
Jelly Belly sport beans - I had no idea those existed. So now I can eat jelly beans and claim it's 'cuz they're good for me!
Very cool.
Lucky you!
RYC: I think the fact that I prefer more affordable flowers makes me slightly more marketable ;)
you've got a good man there :)
Wow-makes me wish I was married-no one buys me chicken noodle soup, much less a diamond ring! Happy TT!
Holy smokes!!! That's quite the list! What a great hubby - and that ring is gorgeous!
Happy TT!
Very nice presents! I'm especially loving that diamond ring :)
How thoughtful!! Happy TT! You have a lot of Support the Troops stuff...check out my site, you might like it!
Happy TT!!
Great list. I've got a few of the red Friday shirts too. 13 gifts. Hmmm, the hubby leaves in a few days, I need to point him in the direction of this TT ;)
Almost forgot, feel free to use the permalink to my T13 re: the rally. I'll be the subject of my blog entry once I get back tomorrow afternoon.
What a nice hubby! So thoughtful! I am going to have to hunt down those Jelly Bellies. :)
I love my New Balance Kicks, good call. And the Caesar game is supposed to be great
My hubby just wanted to surprise me with a lovely gift.
Ah, how nice!
What a sweetheart.
I wear a 2A, and that's virtually impossible to find, but New Balance does carry them. However, I don't run, but I do walk.
My TT this week is on women and finances.
Awww.. that's sweet! But I'm sure your husband is just as lucky a man as you are a woman or he wouldn't be that sweet to you. :D
Thanks for visiting my TT!
Ooh, that's all neat stuff, your husband is so cool!
Thanks for stopping by my T13.
Congratulations on the Ring! What a romantic!
Lovely gifts! I love getting presents too especially suprise presents.
