Tempo Run Today

Today's run was a tempo run. 2 mile warm-up, 3 miles tempo @80% HRR (Heart Rate Reserve), 2 miles cooldown.

Ran along the trails/paths leading down to the Englischer Garten, along the Isar River, and back.

It was my first tempo run since the Paris 20K (on October 15th), so it was slower than my previous tempo runs, but it still felt good to stretch the legs and run fast again.

On the HR graph, the fairly even plateau between 2 and 5 miles were the tempo miles. The peak around 5.5 miles is the big hill that I had to climb to get out of the Isar River valley.

The weather was lovely for fall. Cool but sunny. Temperature around 8°C, and no wind to speak of.
